Reading the reviews, i had thought i found the right book on parrotlets, but i was wrong. It quickly glanced over the important aspects of parrotlets - health, care, cages, personalities, training and more. The information provided was repeated multiple times. Too much time was spent on breading. People are reading this book to learn how to take care of the birds. By no means they are ready to breed.I did not read anything i didn't already find on the internet! Sorry but am being honest.

You can find all the same info free on the internet. Alot of the information repeats itself in every chapter.
This book is an elementary, clift note version about BREEDING Parrotlets. There is very little information about raising pets, training your p'let and over coming behavior issues. Dealing with a nippy P'let isnt even approached nor are other common issues. As the book implies it covers everything "from" breeding to raising, it should have more information about the species traits etc. It seems thrown together and generalized when even discussing the differences of the Parrotlet species. Overall, I feel this was a waste of my time and would be a major waste of a new breeders time as it isnt in-depth or informative enough to educate a novice breeder. There is little to no information outside of breeding knowledge and the fact that I finished it in approx 90 mins. indicates there is little information. There are very few illustrations, photographs or visual aids. I honestly learned nothing and have been able to get more information over the internet. Very much a waste of time and money!

Great book for getting into breeding! I especially like the section on color mutations and genetics. Recommend this book for the up-and-coming breeder.
I haven't read the entire book yet but I have found it extremely informative. I have found all the info very direct and to the point. So far has answered all my question and then some
I'm sure that this book is great for breeders. What I needed was something more for beginner parrotlet owners. If I ever do decide to start breeding the birds, this will be a go-to reference.
